Therese Mukamitsindo, mother-in-law of the deputy of the Green and Left Alliance Aboubakar Soumahoro, has been entered in the register of suspects by the Latina Public Prosecutor’s Office with the hypothesis of embezzlement.
The crime of embezzlement is punished according to theart. 316 bis of the Criminal Code and it occurs when a person outside the public administration, having obtained contributions, subsidies or loans for certain purposes from the State or other bodies or from the European Communities, does not allocate these funds to the aforementioned purposes.

The investigations against Soumahoro’s mother-in-law are located within thecooperative investigation karibu And Aid consortium opened by the Public Prosecutor of Latina for these two offices, one located in Sezze (LT) and the other in Latina.
The investigations started from the complaints of some workers. The two cooperatives provide services of hospitality and local integration ai asylum seekers.
The administration includes Soumahoro’s mother-in-law, Therese Mukamitsindo, and the deputy’s wife Liliane Murekatete.
The investigations are carried out by the Provincial Tax Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza and by the Carabinieri.

In recent days Aboubakar Soumahoro he vented on Facebook: “You want to destroy me, you are afraid of my ideas, of those who fight. You think of burying me but you won’t bury me. I haven’t slept for days. I don’t just fight for Aboubakar, I’ve never fought for Aboubakar. I fought for the people you abandoned.”
It should be remembered that the deputy is not among the suspects. On the other hand, Soumahoro’s wife and mother-in-law they immediately denied the accusations and his wife, Liliane, declared that with these investigations “they want to bring him down”, especially “after going to Catania to defend the landing of migrants”.
