Guanajuato, Gto; September 11, 2022.- The System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF), closed the calls for the Contest: “Healthy Plate 2022”, where more than 206 recipes were received, both traditional and innovative, in which the different sectors participated. of the Guanajuato population.
The General Director of the Guanajuato State DIF System Gerardo Trujillo Flores, He explained that each of the recipes will be evaluated through a gastronomic sample, where state authorities and members of the Technical Evaluation Committee (CTE) will participate, through two Regional Contests; the first will be held in the municipality of Uriangato on September 14 and the second in San José Iturbide on September 23.
Within the framework of World Food Day, a gastronomic exhibition will be held with the finalists of the Healthy Plate Contest 2022, in which there will be different sports, cultural activities and where the winners of the contest will also be awarded in each of its categories.
In addition, the final of the Healthy Children’s Dish category made by girls, boys and adolescents from 8 to 15 years of age, will be held in a live television program where the finalists will prepare their dish, which will be tasted and qualified for the deliberation of the winners.
“We are very happy with the participation of Guanajuato residents in this important contest, in which we seek that families are aware of bringing Healthy, Varied and Sufficient food to their homes,” he said, Trujillo Flowers.
In this way, the call had the participation of the general public, volunteers from the Community Kitchens, professionals, university students, housewives, older adults and in this edition there was the participation of Girls, Boys and Adolescents.
It is worth mentioning that the Healthy Plate prepared in a food space of the State DIF System registered more than 61 healthy recipes; while the category of the Healthy Plate prepared by the student community, professionals in the health area and the general public reached 100 participants; while the healthy children’s dish prepared by girls, boys and adolescents from 8 to 15 years of age, obtained 15 recipes; Finally, category four of the Dish with culinary heritage, “Rescating our traditions”, prepared by older adults and their family registered 30 recipes.
The awarding of the first 3 places will be through the delivery of an acknowledgment that certifies the place obtained in the contest and an economic stimulus (INE will be requested from the mother, father or guardian and CURP from the girl, boy or adolescent) during the television program with a tentative date of September 26 to 29, 2022.
Prize amounts to be awarded for the 4 categories are:
