The invitations of the routes of ‘Logroño with another look’ through the streets with the name of a woman have been duplicated

LOGROÑO, Nov. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The City Council, given the great reception that the municipal initiative ‘Logroño with another look’ has had by the citizens, which has come to exhaust the invitations of most of the routes scheduled in this edition, has decided to double the tickets that give access to participate for free in these Sunday tours.

This new edition, which has expanded to four the informative routes through some of the streets of the city that have the name of a woman, has registered a great demand and to respond to the interest of the citizens in this initiative, 25 new invitations will be issued from each tour that can be withdrawn from the Information Service 010 of the Town Hall, with a maximum of two per person (children aged 4 and over need a ticket).

Since the tours are free, people who pick up the tickets are asked to return them to 010 if for any reason they cannot attend so that other people can use them.

The new ‘Logroño con otra mirada’ program has gone from two routes to four, incorporating a route dedicated especially to the family audience. To the route ‘The look of the writers’ and ‘The look of work’ have been added this year ‘The look of education’ and the family visit ‘The look at music and the word’, which like the previous ones have had great acceptance.

All of them are energized by actors and actresses, who bring the public closer to the lives of outstanding women and to the historical facts and events of the narrated period”, he explained.

‘Logroño con otra mirada’ continues to offer the two informative routes with which this initiative began: the route ‘The writers’ gaze’, which runs through María Teresa León, Emilia Pardo Bazán, Concepción Arenal and Ana María Matute streets; and ‘La mirada del trabajo’, which runs through the streets of María Zambrano, Jacinta Martínez de Sicilia (Duquesa de La Victoria) and Luisa Marín Lacalle.

The route ‘The view of education’ has been added to these routes, which runs through the streets of María Teresa Gil de Gárate (teacher and pedagogue), Pilar Salarrullana (teacher, thinker and politician) and the monument to the Mother. This tour takes advantage of the passage through Pérez Galdós street to talk about the women who influenced his work and who represented the literary and artistic movement of the time, such as Lorenza Cobián, Concha-Ruth Morell, Teodosia Gandarias and Emilia Pardo bazan.

In addition, this edition of ‘Logroño con otra mirada’ includes a very special route, aimed at a family audience that encourages the active participation of the girls and boys who attend. This visit emphasizes the value of words and music as the most beautiful things that have been created.

Part of the Ana María Matute school, it passes through Rosa Chacel street and Nieves Sáinz de Aja street to end at Paseo María Moliner.

Each year there will be ten narrated visits for each of these routes that aim to make women visible in public spaces and make their relevance and contributions to society known.

The invitations that have been issued are available to the public at 010 as of today, November 16. The activity is free and lasts a minimum of 60 minutes and a maximum of 90.

The Councilor for Equality, Eva Tobías, insists that “it is necessary for society to know these women as social references, women who have contributed their contributions to our society; making them visible, remembering them and getting to know them is also essential to move towards a more egalitarian”.

In this way, she has highlighted “we continue to make known, in a playful and entertaining way, the biography of relevant writers, philosophers, teachers and fighters for women’s rights, while learning about the time in which they lived, as well as anecdotes and curiosities of Logroño.”

This initiative, Eva Tobías Olarte recalled, “we said that it was born with a vocation of permanence and that is what we are doing, betting on a program that lasts over time (October 2022 / September 2024)”, because “we believe that it is necessary to recognize and highlight the referent role that women have had in different fields, such as literature, thought, politics, unionism, feminism, education, music, among others, and their contribution to the improvement of society. added, “the public, with their assistance, is showing their interest”.
