Cuauhtémoc Blanco in the spotlight

In the state of Morelos, an investigation is being revived for probable corruption, which was opened since 2020 by the Financial Intelligence Unit and in which characters from the circle close to Cuauhtémoc Blanco, including some relatives, would be involved; and in one of those, the governor himself, if a thorough investigation is carried out; is about The Spring Casea money laundering scheme for more than 750 million pesos.

There are two investigation folders on this and they tell us that the evidence is so solid that at any moment they could be prosecuted.

The complaints about The Spring Case that were presented before the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor of Morelos (one of which this columnist has a copy of), involves Jaime Tamayo Godínez, a friend of Blanco Bravo; Edgar Riou Pérez, cousin and private secretary of the governor; Ulises Bravo Molina and Ricardo Bravo Molina, half brothers of the former soccer player.

The document establishes that Jaime Tamayo Godínez and Edgar Riou Pérez carried out operations in favor of relatives of Cuauhtémoc Blanco, without noticing a commercial or business relationship, among which the following persons stand out: Natalia Rezende Moreira, Liliana Lago and Maricela Santoyo Colín , wife and ex-wives of the governor, respectively; Cuauhtemoc Blanco Santo, son; and Ulises Bravo Molina, half brother.

Similarly, one of the recipients and depositors of Edgar Riou Pérez is Jaime Tamayo Godínez, a situation that clearly links them in a triangulation of money.

Said operations, says the complaint, “are not considered justified, by virtue of the fact that they do not seem to have originated in any legal trade or business act, showing that the only existing link between Jaime Tamayo and Edgar Riou with the recipients is the current governor of Morelos, Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravo”.

Sources close to the case tell us that it would not be strange if in the not too distant future, the authorities in charge of the investigation could take criminal action against those involved in this money laundering scheme, since it seems that the prosecution is still pending. pause by orders of the National Palace, however, they clarify that the President is not at all happy with the management of the former soccer player and in one of those he could remove the mantle of protection that has sheltered him for more than a year and a half.

We’ll see.

In Movimiento Ciudadano we are not interested, at this time, in making a political and electoral alliance with the PAN and the PRD, after the break with the PRI, David Olivo, National Coordinator of Special Projects of MC, told me; Well, the party bets on a broader project that involves actors from civil society, artists, intellectuals, journalists, etc.; with what is intended to make a more heterogeneous and plural movement.

Something good will be seen by the political parties in MC that even seem desperate to forge alliances with him, and on the legislative issue, several senators, especially from the PAN, have taken off their blue shirt to put on the orange one.
